The Women in Latin Music showcase is hosted by the Austin Latino Music Association (ALMA) and returns for the 4th annual celebration on August 2nd, 2013 at the Moose Lodge #1735, 2103 E. M. Franklin Avenue, Austin, Texas 78723. The showcase features diverse musical genres and artists by Austin based artists.

Austin-based R&B, soul and pop singer-songwriter Lauren Silva has an original single, Hurt, that was nominated in 2012 for Best Pop Song in the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
Recording artist Leticia Rodriguez will perform from her debut album, La Americana and is from a family of musicians, including her aunt, Eva Garza.
Pop singer songwriter, Miranda Gil, created her debut EP, Take It or Leave It
Luz V. Zamora, a vocalist with wide variety of styles of music, is lead vocalist for a local rock band and won the Youthcast Choice Award 2013 and scholarship from the Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
Among the special guests invited to perform are female contestants from around Texas that are auditioning for the 2013 Austin Tejano Music Coalition’s CANTA vocal competition, performing music from this genre that has been around for decades and is continued by some very young artists this year.
Sarah Lara is a 2012 CANTA contest Top 5 winner scheduled to perform among other contestants, including last year’s contest winner, Anani Rhames.
