Belton is Host to Earth Day Festival on April 12th and 13th

The 2013 Earth Day Festival is being planned for Friday, April 12th and Saturday, April 13 with a goal to help educate Central Texas about the health and environmental issues, while providing access to many of the solutions available in and around the community.


The 2013 Earth Day Festival events and demonstrations will be located at the Belton Courthouse Square and throughout Yettie Polk Park. It is free to the public from 9 AM until 5 PM. On Friday night, the “Dash and Dine” 5K run will be offered, with proceeds to benefit AWARE Central Texas.

Among the other activities for families are Organic Gardening, a Health & Wellness Fair, seminars and other special environmental exhibits, environmental art and sustainability activities for schools.
