I did quite a bit of walking downtown during SXSW 2013 from March 8th to March 17th as I participated the SXSW Film and Music Festivals, as well as met registrants for the Interactive portion of the festivals.
On March 12th, the Film Festival was still roaring, the Interactive Festival was about to wrap, but the Music Festival was gaining steam. As I made my way from the Austin Convention Center area toward Austin’s City Hall and later to the films and music, I ran into some local friends who told me about the trolley that was formerly in use here in the city, but was now in use by Tito’s Vodka.
I have to say, as packed as the ride got on some stops around downtown, I was really glad to have the opportunity to network with SXSW registrants, as well as Tito’s Vodka staff and management.

The reason I was glad to see the trolley get packed is because this free ride around downtown was a fundraiser for the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAMM), so those of us who gave a donation to this non-profit, THANKS and of course, to JZ from Tito’s Vodka for making this possible.
Thanks to the great staff on board for making it such a pleasure to see Austin like other tourists see our fine city.
