Every March it seems as if the whole world descends on downtown Austin.  We have celebrities, techies and musicians arrive by the thousands and if you are interested in finding out more about the excitement in town, you can find out firsthand by volunteering at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music, Film and Interactive Conferences and Festivals!

See what happens behind the scenes, earn a chance to see informative panels, catch an up-and- coming band or stand-up comedian, question an emerging filmmaker or rub elbows with your favorite internet idol. It’s a great opportunity to network, socialize and most of all have fun.

SXSW Week, March 8 – 17, 2013, is offering a multitude of volunteer opportunities. Jobs range from festival production to conference activities including registration, information, trade show, technical support, and much more.  Day and night positions are available during the conference.  Volunteers must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours or 3 shifts during the event, depending on their crew type.
Applications are available online and crew shift selections will take place at the Volunteer Call on Saturday, January 19, 2013 between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, January 29, 2013 between 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. at the Austin Convention Center, Ballroom ABC on the First Floor. If you are unable to attend the Volunteer Call or need any information about volunteering, please contact a SXSW Volunteer Coordinator at  or 512/467-7979 as soon as possible.
