Esquina Tango’s First Fundraiser “Turning The Corner”

Esquina Tango is host to their first fundraiser, “Turning The Corner,” Saturday, September 29th, 2012 with Michael Crockett (DJ for “Horizontes” at KUT) serving as Master of Ceremonies.
Esquina Tango Cultural Society of Austin is a non-profit 501C3 organization striving to build a vibrant and diverse community in East Austin and beyond through culture, health, and dance, with an emphasis on Latino heritage, recreational tango and other Argentine traditions, fostering personal wellness, and promoting understanding of Latino culture. Esquina Tango is located at 209 Pedernales St., Austin Tx 78702.

The event will feature food by Buenos Aires Café, live music with Austin Piazzolla Quintet, Glover Gill Quintet, Cuchillo e’ Palo, special dance performances and a  silent auction.

There is limited seating for the VIP portion of the fundraiser from 6pm – 8pm [$35 per person] followed by general admission [$20 per person]. You may take your own beverages. Advance tickets are sold on line.

General Admission will start at 8pm and features live music with Glover Gill Quintet and Cuchillo e’ Palo with lots of Tango and Salsa dancing as well as home-made choripan (Argentine style BBQ sausage).
